अनुच्छेद 210 – विधानमंडल में प्रयोग की जाने वाली भाषा
अनुच्छेद 210(1) भाग XVII में किसी बात के होते हुए भी, लेकिन अनुच्छेद 348 के प्रावधानों के अधीन, किसी राज्य के विधानमंडल में कार्य राज्य की राजभाषा या भाषाओं में या हिंदी या अंग्रेजी में किया जाएगा: बशर्ते कि अध्यक्ष विधान सभा या विधान परिषद के अध्यक्ष, या इस रूप में कार्य करने वाला व्यक्ति, जैसा भी मामला हो, किसी भी सदस्य को अपनी मातृभाषा में सदन को संबोधित करने के लिए अनुमति दे सकता है जो उपरोक्त किसी भी भाषा में खुद को पर्याप्त रूप से व्यक्त नहीं कर सकता है।
अनुच्छेद 210(2) जब तक कानून द्वारा राज्य का विधानमंडल अन्यथा प्रदान नहीं करता है, यह लेख, इस संविधान के प्रारंभ से पंद्रह वर्ष की अवधि की समाप्ति के बाद, इस तरह प्रभावी होगा जैसे कि शब्दों या अंग्रेजी में यहां से हटा दिया गया था: बशर्ते कि हिमाचल प्रदेश, मणिपुर, मेघालय और त्रिपुरा राज्यों के विधान-मंडलों के संबंध में यह खंड इस प्रकार प्रभावी होगा मानो उसमें आने वाले पन्द्रह वर्ष शब्दों के स्थान पर पच्चीस वर्ष शब्द रखे गए हों: अरुणाचल प्रदेश, गोवा और मिजोरम राज्यों में यह खंड इस प्रकार प्रभावी होगा मानो उसमें आने वाले पंद्रह वर्ष शब्दों के स्थान पर चालीस वर्ष शब्द रख दिए गए हों।

Article 210 – Language to be used in the Legislature
Article 210(1) Notwithstanding anything in Part XVII, but subject to the provisions of article 348, business in the Legislature of a State shall be transacted in the official language or languages of the State or in Hindi or in English: Provided that the Speaker of the Legislative Assembly or Chairman of the Legislative Council, or person acting as such, as the case may be, may permit any member who cannot adequately express himself in any of the languages aforesaid to address the House in his mother tongue.
Article 210(2) Unless the Legislature of the State by law otherwise provides, this article shall, after the expiration of a period of fifteen years from the commencement of this Constitution, have effect as if the words or in English were omitted here from: Provided that in relation to the Legislatures of the States of Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura this clause shall have effect as if for the words fifteen years occurring therein, the words twenty five years were substituted: Provided further that in relation to the Legislature of the States of Arunachal Pradesh, Goa and Mizoram, this clause shall have effect as if for the words fifteen years occurring therein, the words forty years were substituted.
